As spiny as porcupines, pufferfish are known for their ability to “puff up” at signs of danger. But did you know, pufferfish come in a variety of shapes and sizes? Some are larger with flattened spines, while others are small and prickly. Two of the more common pufferfish seen on the east coast are balloonfish and burrfish.
