21 E 2nd St. Ocean Isle Beach NC
Museum education coordinator Kimberly Belfer discusses why sea jellies are not “fish” and how they are an important part of the great ocean food web. Composed mostly of water, she will talk about their anatomy and how similar they are to humans — even though they don’t look anything like us! She will also discuss what happens when we get stung by a sea jelly and how to treat a jelly sting.
