This program examines different types of carnivorous plants and discusses what makes a plant carnivorous. There are 20 species of carnivorous plants in North Carolina. Learn about the threats these plants face and what the North American Sarracenia Conservancy is doing to save them.

Your presenters, Mark Todd and Calvin Taltavall, are board members of the North American Sarracenia Conservancy, an organization that works to save the North American pitcher plant from poaching, habitat loss, and development.
